This 4 bedroom house in Cohasset was completely gutted. Not one room untouched in the renovation and the floor plan was updated. The roof was removed to raise the ceiling on the second floor and to add an additional bedroom. A closet was turned into a second bathroom for the upstairs, and an unusable bedroom downstairs was turned into a beautiful, large mudroom with storage built-ins and herringbone brick floors. A double sided fire place gave new life to the living room and back deck area, while a farmers porch was added to the front of the house and the first floor transitioned into a modern, open space.

The house was converted into a three floor, 1,846 square foot home. Durable materials were used throughout the house, and the original old timber beams remained exposed on the top floor, while iron grates were repurposed for stair guardrails. The renovation added extra bedrooms, bathrooms and a laundry room, and opened up the main floor space in the home. The bottom floor was closed off from the top two floor creating a separate studio apartment with a bathroom, kitchen and a small outdoor patio space with a view of the marsh.
After construction, the home was appraised resulting in a 100% increase in value.
